About Annabel

I’m Annabel Lee Bentley, a New York–based fashion stylist and freelance assistant working bi-coastally between New York and Los Angeles. My work centers on elevated, narrative-driven styling with a refined, editorial eye and a strong understanding of brand and image. I approach fashion as both creative expression and strategic storytelling, shaping visual identities that feel intentional, culturally relevant, and distinctly personal.

I trained in Los Angeles under industry leaders including but not limited to: Karla Welch, Maeve Reilly, and Carlee Barrow. At Karla Welch Studio, I was promoted from intern to 3rd Styling Assistant. I then worked as a 1st Assistant to Carlee Barrow where we worked closely with the D’Amelio family. In this role I managed the full styling process across red carpet, press, fashion month, commercial, and editorial projects—overseeing sample trafficking, executing fittings, dressing clients on-site, and collaborating with glam teams, publicists, and designers. I also supervised interns and helped maintain studio operations and global showroom relationships.

In 2024, while working as a first assistant, I launched my independent freelance styling practice. I now provide high-touch creative wardrobe direction for commercial and editorial campaigns, social content, and private clients, alongside bespoke image consulting and wardrobe development. My work is relationship-driven and editorially informed, supported by strong connections with luxury houses, emerging designers, PR agencies, and vintage collectors worldwide.

I hold a BBA in Marketing from The College of William & Mary and completed fashion business studies at the London College of Fashion, giving me both creative vision and strategic discipline in every project I take on.
